Role Purpose
The purpose of the Traveller and Roma Early Years Advisory Specialist roles is to provide expert advisory support to Early Learning and Care (ELC) and School-age Childcare (SAC) settings. This role is dedicated to fostering inclusion through access and participation of children and their families from the Traveller and Roma communities within these settings.

The Traveller and Roma Early Years Specialist will assist Better Start to play a key role in delivery of actions within Equal Start to further the development of inclusive practice in relation to Traveller and Roma children and their families in the ELC and SAC sector. They will have a role in supporting integrated inclusive practice for Traveller and Roma children and their families, across quality, inclusion and learning and development. The Traveller and Roma Early Years Specialists will work closely with colleagues across a range of other agencies and organisations including City & County Childcare Committees, Tusla and the HSE.

• First Aid, Manual Handling and Food Safety Certified an advantage

• Must be available to work 39 hours per week
