The ideal candidate is required to have:

A minimum of qualification of Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education with a minimum of 2 years paid experience in a similar role and a full clean driving licence is beneficial. Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education is required, do not reply if you do not have this qualification.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for working with children.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta and DES guidelines.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of compliance with Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 (Registration of School Age Services) Regulations 2018 and all other relevant legislation.

Garda Vetting Check will be required for all staff which will be undertaken following interview.

The responsibilities of this position are:

• To acknowledge and adhere to the mission statement of the setting.
• To guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a n a safe and caring environment as part of the childcare team.
• To assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate stimulating programme of activities which will enhance the child’s natural growth and development.
• Ability to take direction from management and supervisor.
• To work in close co-operation with management and supervisor and other team members, fostering good working relationships within the team.
