We are currently recruiting for the following positions in Portarlington.Giggles job advert 20 03 2024

An Early Years Teacher with a level 7/8 BA qualification in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Teaching and Learning.

Full-time position
38-40hrs per week

✅The ideal candidates would be enthusiastic & creative with a passion for Early Years Education and a genuine love of working with children.
✅Have excellent communication skills, the ability to engage, support and build positive relationships with children.
✅Provide a warm nurturing environment supporting a child led/play based curriculum. Work in partnership with colleagues and parents.
✅Have a good understanding of Aistear curriculum & Siolta standards.
✅Be flexible with working hours and work well both independently and as part of a team.

Salary scale based on qualification level and experience

Relief Position
We also have a relief/casual position covering staff leave. A minimum level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Education required. Must have flexibility to work both mornings and afternoons up until 5.30pm. Be adaptable and willing to work with different age groups in different rooms depending on where cover is needed.

Regulatory Requirements
-To be eligible to work in an Early Years setting you must have a full minimum level 5 Childcare qualification. (SNA only is not recognised for Early Years services under current regulations) All recognised qualifications are listed on the DCEDIY website. If your qualification isn't listed you can apply to the DCEDIY in order to have it recognised
-Garda vetting required & applied for through our service.
-If you have lived outside of Ireland for 6 months or more you will need police vetting from the country you have lived in.
-All candidates must be able to provide 2 written references that can be verified by our service.
